Our FoundingBeyondMissing is dedicated to protecting America's children. We are a nonprofit public benefit corporation, 501 (c) (3), incorporated in the state of California on March 22, 2001. 
BeyondMissing was founded by Marc Klaas on June 8, 2001. Marc Klaas began to pursue an aggressive child safety agenda for the nation's children following the kidnap and murder of his twelve year old daughter Polly. Mr. Klaas provides the vision and the day to day leadership for our organization. Historically funded by a U.S. Department of Justice Office of Justice Program grant (OJJDP), BeyondMissing provides law enforcement agencies with a secure, Internet based system to create and distribute missing child flyers to law enforcement, the media, and public and private recipients. There is no cost to agencies for this service and no proprietary hardware or software required.
